Self-catering gite holiday accommodation in South West France between Biarritz and Pau

Accommodation

This lovely old Landaise farmhouse contains a gite which was designed with 2 bedrooms, since which time we have added access to another 3 bedrooms, so there is an option for accommodating up to 8 people.

The location is not far from Pouillon, about 45 minutes from Biarritz or Pau. The farmhouse is set on an elevated rural site (a landmark in the area as it once formed a Gallo-Roman camp) on a quiet lane with a view towards the Pyrenees.

ADSL broadband internet access is normally available - wired or WiFi. Children are welcome, we have a folding cot available and there's plenty of room to run around outside (but pets are not allowed). Rooms have underfloor heating and we provide linen and towels.

• Local villages (the nearest is less than 10 minutes drive and includes a tourist office) and a series of village fêtes in the summer

• Surfing on the Atlantic Coast
• Golf at Seignosse, Bidart, Anglet, Biarritz and Bassussary

• St Jean-Pied-de-Port and other places on the pilgrim routes to Santiago de Compostella
• San Sebastian and Bilbao (especially the Guggenheim) in Northern Spain
